News article: "Analysts also expect eBay to soon begin offering sellers "storefronts" -- entire pages to themselves. For a fee, of course."
And why will you want to pay for a storefront on ebay? Because it will be impossible to get to your web site from your ebay auction description. A simple "policy" change to the "discrete link" rule will do it.
OTOH rather than pay for an ebay storefront, you may want to dump ebay altogether and do your auctioning elsewhere.
Plan ahead, look for other sites now!

Dottie: Can you e-mail me at [email protected] regarding referral info for SYI? It looks like an interesting site. I like the customized EOA notice feature.

Thanks too dotie I am going to check it out. We all ought to get togther and every week all put 10% on a different site as a group if there is one big enough here and see which one is more viable or most like ebay was three years ago.

I've recently started using Bidville.com. They have more auctions running than any other non-ebay site that I have found.
I have also sold 3 items there this past week alone.

Dottie: I agree I have listed a few items on Sellyouritem.com and I am very pleased with the site. I like the personal touch with the support staff. Its very personal and everything is running smoothly. I have a bid on one item and a number of page views.
I also list on Bidville and have not been able to sell anything expensive yet but I keep listing low end items and do all right. Some take a few listings to sell.
E-pier I have also used but have been disappointed with the results. I know some have had great luck.
I have also found some great items on Bidville that I have sold for a nice profit. So if you are not interested in selling, check the listings you never know what you might find to buy and make a tidy profit.

Do you think....That Ebay ever reads these posts and see soooooooo many sellers looking to find an alternative??? Do you think they can comprehend that while there are a handful of execs there making some really dumb mistakes, that there are millions of users that may come up with a better idea..... Just a thought. I think I am definitely writing a commentary in my local newspaper and maybe the big city near by.
