Does anyone sell things on Ebay for other people? If so, how do you calculate commissions? Do you charge a flat percentage or percentage plus ebay fees? I'm considering selling some items for someone, and have no idea how to work out a reasonable commission. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

i do small ticket items
i take all fees off the top- ebay listing and auction watch listing fees i add .05 cents (so a 10 day auction under $9.99 is .30 + .10 + .05= .45) listing fees ....and then i calculate a straight across the board 8% to cover ....5% ebay final value fees, 1% auction watch final fees and guestimate at paypal average 2% and .30 per transaction- i came up with 8%) -even though not every one uses paypal- i would say 60-65% of my buyers do-
then i do a 50 50 split
if it was a real large ticket item -i do 15%-25% depending on the type of item.
hope that helps

I know I sell for other people all the time.
This is how I do it. They pay for ALL fees. ebay, paypal, billpoint. And I get 10% for item. If it sells for more than they wanted I take 50% over the amount they wanted.
