What is Shabby Chic? I've looked through page after page trying to get a "feel" for what it is and can't. Could someone help me out here? Thanks.

Susan....Have you done an AW search on Shabby Chic?...There are numerous threads that contain many examples/descriptions of SC.....In furniture/shelves/wood items: think old, usually painted white with worn/chippy paint....In fabrics, again old (or an old look), typically covered with roses (tole paint look)....On eBay, however, many sellers use the "Shabby Chic" label for anything old or kinda old, or well, just about anything, cause "Shabby Chic" is a well searched keyword phrase.

I t can also get your auction VERO'd. The phrase Shabby Chic is copyrighted by the designer who coined it. Go figure!!
