I guess I'm dense, but how do items listed in Storefront with a fixed price work while the items listed on eBay?? or any other auctions for that mattter.
If the item sells from the storefront at the fixed price, how does it affect an on going auction?

if you have more than one copy of the same item, and you want to list one on ebay and leave the others in the store-
ebay current rule said if the item is linked back to your store, then the ebay starting bid should be less than the price listed in your store.
if you have just one copy, then you should mark the item as not for sale,up for bid on ebay in your store.
if customers find wide discrepancy in price of the same item you list on ebay and in your store, then they would rather bid on ebay.
if you keep the price very close, say one penny difference, then the bidder may just buy it in your store, saving you ebay final value fee.
if you have just one copy,it is not a good idea of leaving it for sale in both places.

hwahwahwahwa: What makes you think that eBay won't be charging folks a percentage of sales from their storefronts?
C'mon... we all know better than that, right? *sigh*

will ebay charge a percentage from ebay shop item??
i dont know ,but i assume it will work out the same-pay a fixed fee to have a shop or pay a lower fixed fee and a percentage of sales,or pay no fixed fee and a higher percentage of sales.
i would think it will be more in line with yahoo-fixed fee for so many items.
yahoo shop-100 dollars for 50 items,
300 dollars for 1000 items,100 dollars for every 100 item beyond 1000.
this type of arrangement works better for shops with new collectibles, list an item and sell many copies.
thats just my personal opinion,i dont eat lunch with ebay management
