I can't seem to find a list on the USPS site ~ does anyone have a list of the book rates for each weight? Thanks!

Hi -
It's there, under Media Mail (the new name for it.) But here is some of it just to get you started:

Not Over (lbs.):
1 $1.30
2 1.75
3 2.20
4 2.65
5 3.10

Hope this helps.

Hi! I don't know if rachelsmom will see this, but one has to be careful with the media mail vs bound printed matter. Sometimes permanently bound materials will be shippable at a bit lesser rate than the media mail, but unless that shipment is acted upon by an additional service such as insurance or delivery confirmation, bound printeds do not forward and are not returned if not delivered. I always use media mail to protect myself from those problems. By the way--this info is what I received at my friendly post office. AND the rates are due to increase on July 1 :>/ Happy shipping!

puffr makes an excellent point, and often the clerks will send something at BPM rather than MM, without even mentioning it to you. I try to always remember to tell them - DON'T change any of these to BPM.

I believe if the package is marked "Return Postage Guaranteed" that they will return it to you if it's undeliverable. I've been thinking of getting a stamp and stamping all of mine, just in case one gets changed and I don't realize it (which can happen if you're sending a lot at once).

Since the service is different in that respect, you'd think they should not make the change without discussing it with you - but I know for a fact, they do it.
