Universal search is for auction items. Is there a search for these AuctionWatch message boards so I don't post the same question, and can simply peruse the old answers?

It is somewhat limited but do a site search from the link at the bottom of the page and check off the box for the Message Center

Hello tpetty. You can use the SITE SEARCH at the bottom of the page and be sure to check the box next to ALSO SEARCH MESSAGE CENTER as Gravid already pointed out. The search function really is pretty good if you know how to use it. The more info you enter, the better your chances of finding what you're looking for. If you know the name of the poster or any poster in the thread you want to find you should enter that info in the search string and then add any other keywords that were in the thread or it's title. The plus function is implied so you don't really need to add in the symbol.
BTW, the results will give you a maximum of the last 30 posts that match your search string. So, your results will increase with the more keywords that you add and will search further back in time as well. To give you an example, if you were to search for my username, bhearsch, and you didn't add any other keywords, you would only get the last 30 posts that I made. However, if you included keywords that you know were in the thread you're trying to track down, your max results would include my last 30 posts which included those keywords.
I've found threads that were two years old by using the search message center function. If you can't find what you're looking for just post back and give us the info so we can help you find it.
