Boy, am I confused. This morning I had an item sell with a Buy It Now. I went to leave the person feedback in the afternoon and by then he or she was listed as Not a Registered User. (They have a feedback of 1, with no negs.) Meanwhile, someone paid for the item using Paypal, but with a completely different email address than the winner. So how do I know if this is the same person? I'm reluctant to send out the item, but someone DID pay for it. I just don't know if it's the SAME person! And why did the actual winner go NARU right after buying my item? I emailed both addresses to see if this can get cleared up but I fear some sort of scam here. Luckily it's only a $12 CD at stake, but this is all a bit too mysterious for me. Anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?

I don't know about this one, but I'll give you my take.
A month or so ago, had almost the same thing happen.
I carbon copied the Paypal user, and they wrote back..."what item?"
Subsequently, I did not send the item, and the Paypal user emailed me, thanking me, as he's had his paypal account hijacked, did not get quick enough help from paypal, or Eslave.
Not sure if this pertains to you, but don't ship the item to "confirmed address", untill you get a response, from the email of the paypal account.

Well, I filed a final fee value request today on a non-paying bidder who did a BIN on one of my items a month ago.
She is now NARU and I could not give her feedback. She was also a 1 with no negatives. I was probably her 3rd FV refund, and she got booted, but no one had left her negatives.

Thanks, everyone. I emailed both addresses plus Ebay. No responses yet but I'll see what they all say. It's always somethin'...

Update. Now get this: The person who PAID me is also NARU as of today. But this one had over 300 feedback. Something weird is definitely going on here...

I had a winner email me real quick after the auction, so I emailed my EOA back to him...
Then I get an email from that same addy, different person who said he wasn't involved in the auciton and didn't know a thing about it.
Later when I get the EOA from ebay I email THAT addy and cc the first one...
Well it did work out, I think the winner just wandered into his friends dorm room and used the first computer he saw to check the auction and send me email..

I suppose--but I'm sure curious to see how this plays out. The money is definitely in my Paypal account so it's someone's.
