I used to accept CCNow as a seller (1 1/2 years ago). It is a fine service. I stopped using it simply because less expensive options came along. It's reputable.
I wouldn't hesitate to pay for an item through CCNow.

I can second vargas, for the bulk of 1999 and the first 2-3 months of 2000, I used CCNOW to accept bunches of bucks in CC payments. This was simply because they were the only game in town. When paypal came around, CCNOW dropped off my radar immediately.
We complain about paypal -- CCNOW charged 9% *AND* sat on the money for 2-4 weeks before you got it!!
They are reputable and their email support was good. I am very surprised to see they are still (apparently) a viable concern. I would have thought paypal and all the imitators would have put them out.

I use to use them---costs the seller a bundle---but nothing for the buyer. Nothing to join...just pay the invoice sent. They've been around for years and I've never heard any bad press on them

Try ProPay. It is slightly more expensive than PayPal, but it works like a merchant account as CCNow does. ProPay fees are three something percent, not nine. You can actually use them with a shopping cart system from your website as you would any other merchant account. Unlike most merchant accounts, it has no monthly fee.

I use CCNow on my website. I don't use it on auctions because of the fees. I use Paydirect which is free.
CCnow has a good reputation. You can feel free to use it. The sellers that you won the auction from pays the 9% fee so you don't have to worry about it and if something goes screwy you don't like the product or it isn't as stated. CCNow give a full refund. For any overseas transcation it is most likely your safest way to pay for you.

I think they are still around because the shopping cart set up they have is very good and anyway can add it to their website even if they no nothing about html java script etc. . .
