Hi there, not trying to be nosy, just curious, and also wondering if you sell part ime or full time. Saw the post about who would make a million this year, and wonderd about the rest of us...
For myself, I am a full time seller, and estimate to make 40-$50,000 gross this year.

I'm part-time, mom of two small kids, and hoping to net $10-$15,000 this year.

Not much-at least, after all the fees. Geez-I feel like I'm being nickled and dimed to death!

I'll plead the 5th on this thread just in case Mr IRS comes across it.

So far I've succeeded in avoiding the tax man when it comes to Ebay. One of the benefits of having an Accounting degree.

I made $526.12 one day.

If it happens again before 12/31/01 that would be $1,052.24 for this year.

If not, at least it's all a tax deduction.

If I have more tax deduction than I need can I sell it?

If so, maybe that's a whole new product line.

"Buy My Unneeded Tax Deduction from eBay Selling. LQQk, NR, PayPal, Dutch, Banned, Shabby Chic, MIB, Vintage, Rare, My Wife Say's I'm Crazy, 18 yr. Old Virgin, Below Wholesale, Liquadition, Last Time Offered, Dutch."

But which category should I list in?

Hmmm, BEFORE the latest changes, I expected to gross $112,439.22

Then USPS raised their rates earlier in the year.

Then ebay raised their rates.

Then ebay removed the website link policy.

Now PayPal has increased it's fees.

So now I expect to net around $16.82.

Umm,$13.68 in profit from sales and $195,567.38 in handling fees.

Actually, haven't sold much this year. Hanging around these boards too much!

All of my sales activities have netted me $1800 this year so far - I expect that to decrease and take a couple losses because I'm low on inventory and getting no traffic through my auctions right now. Hopefully new inventory will be available soon and things will pick up again.
