Today, I received this email, blank with nothing attached but a file named:
OGIJMBOG.EXE

Now, since I have a Mac, these things don't actually execute. I looked at the headers and this is how they read:

Return-Path: <>
Delivered-To: [email protected]
Received: (qmail 742 invoked from network); 8 Jun 2001 11:03:20 -0000
Received: from bw1-129pub103.bluewin.ch (HELO Jupi) ([195.186.129.103]) (envelope-sender <>
by smtp01.mail.XXXX.XXX (qmail-ldap-1.03) with SMTP
for <[email protected]>; 8 Jun 2001 11:03:20 -0000
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="--VE0DAJ4PQVWPMR49QRK1MNKPMR8LEB09UNSX"

Does anyone have any clue how I can trace this? Also, does anyone know what sort of malicious program this might have been?

TIA,

Miracle

Hello miracle118. The email originated from Switzerland. I've never heard of OGIJMBOG.EXE but I doubt that it's a malicious program. It's more likely Spam and I would just delete it. Here is a link to the traceroute from SamSpade:
