posted on June 8, 2001 11:16:19 PMDo what you want with your auctions. If you want to charge handling fees, go ahead. If you want to charge no shipping at all, be my guest. If you want to charge actual shipping charges, that's fine too. But when someone takes the time to post their own personal opinion on the subject, don't jump all over them for it. Some of you think that scavenging for packing peanuts is ridiculous. Great. I don't. I think that charging a handling charge is "milking" the bidder. Great. Maybe you don't. But the exchange of ideas is still happening, and that is what this place is all about. There is no need to poke fun at someone just because they don't do things like you do.

You are the one who actually started the insults by telling us that any seller who charges more than postage were MILKING the buyers----sooooooo---if you are willing to dish it out---
BUT---you have never answered my query----DO YOU USE PRIORITY SUPPLIES to mail out NON-PRIORITY SHIPMENTS??????
posted on June 8, 2001 11:23:40 PMZazzie, just give it up. I was expressing my opinion. It wasn't directed at anyone in particular.
How I run my business is of no concern to you, but if you must know, I charge priority shipping on most of my items, and the shipping time is greatly increased, which my customers seem to like. I have never had a complaint that someone thought I charged them too much for shipping.

Still charging exact shipping fees, and darn proud of it!

---as is everyone else.
I'm glad to hear that you are not using the FREE PRIORITY SUPPLIES for shipping non-priority---that would be MILKING the government, wouldn't it.
Maybe the next time you wish to express your opinion--it can be done with a bit more diplomacy--and not make a blanket statement that anyone who charges more than postage is 'ripping off' or in your words 'milking' the buyer for extra profits.
