I did it twice. The gallery pictures never showed up and ebay didn't respond to any of my emails about it, nor did they credit my account.
I have never done it since.

I almost always use the gallery and yes I do think it attracts more lookers and bidders. I really like the new feature where they show up in regular searches. Seems to draw even more.

1. how do you get to use the new feature where the picture shows on the listing page? And how much does it cost?
2. has anyone actualy collected any statistics on weather or not gallery made a diferrence?

I choose the gallery and my gallery pic now shows on the listing page. This is a new feature and I love it. Well worth the extra quarter.
If you see 4 of the same item listed and only 1 shows a picture on the listing page, which would you look at first? I go straight for the one with the picture.

yes, I agree it really does help, especially now that the default is "view all items plus gallery preview". When I shop, sometimes I find myself accidently skipping over items that DON'T have the preview, and clicking mostly on the ones that do.
