thanks for the link.
i have a shop for 1 month and shipping is based on $$ of the order.
i have made several changes trying to make it fair to my customers.
it seems that weight OR $$ alone is not enough,you can have an expensive item which weighs little,but it must be insured.
you can have a bulky item which is not worth much,but it costs more to ship.
on ebay we quote by item and we know how much it will cost to ship plus insurance,in a shop it is different.
i have a japanese customer who complains of shipping and last nite i issued her a coupon worth 7.50 for future purchase good till end of the year.
domestic customer 2.00 coupon,so on and so forth.
but then i have second thoughts of charging too little for shipping,as i have become more aware of shop image,cheap packaging makes product looks cheap to some customers!!
and i may be upgrading my packaging !!
we can always look at mail order houses and see how much they charge!!
