I got a notice from ebay that my bill was $15 and it wouldn't go thru my credit card so would I please pay them within, I think 6 days.

It's a long story about the credit card so I won't go into that but I emailed ebay and explained the situation and that I might have to wait for a new credit card.

Then I asked them couldn't I pay the $15 thru Paypal e-check or could they wait for me to send a regular check because I didn't want my account to be in bad standing after 4 years for just $15.

The requisite 24 hours went by and I just received their reply. I have to print it out and hang it on my wall! A real person must have typed the beginning because it states twice that "we do not accept Paypal, do not own them, are not affiliated with them in any way ,would not take a payment from them, etc, etc, etc.

Then it pops down to the form letter about how to pay them with my credit card.

I am such a B*tch but the answer is just too funny! And these are the people that are going to try to add storefronts to a site they can't keep up now??

Hi Deco100....I think Ebay just lied to you. I recently set up my PayPal account to pay for my Ebay fees. It's a new feature at PayPal...they have it on their "sell" page. You might want to check that out. Ebay has already taken a $1 from my account, (supposed to get it back, I guess just to see if it works?). So, apparently, they DO take PayPal!

No, no, no, you can't pay eBay via PayPal money transfer.

If you have a PayPal MasterCard/debit card you can use it to pay eBay fees - just like any other cc or dc with mc/visa logo. PayPal just changes your eBay billing credit card to your PayPal MasterCard. Yes, that's right! PayPal logs on to your eBay account set-up and changes the cc...

.....and you still get the 1 & 1/2% back from PayPal!

We've been using our PP M/C for a while now without problem. Ringing up that 1 & 1/2 percent back in the PayPal account.
(you have to remember to use it as a charge card, NOT a debit card though. Sign for it, no pin number)

One of the PO clerks told me today that she is seeing more PP cards all the time now.

Great, that means more competition in the area!

Wow! Ebay just sent me a 7 page questionaire about how happy was I with their recent customer support. I told them exactly!

Question: How effective was our support?
Answer: Well, I told you I couldn't use my credit card for another week and you told me how to use my credit card. What do you think?

What I found interesting was they wanted to know what other auctions I went to and how happy I was with them!
