This is a first for me after 3 years on Ebay. I bought some tapes from a seller and I did not receive an EOA notice so on the second day I wrote him and ask for payment info.

It has been over a week now and I have sent two more emails all with no response. I can leave negative feedback but that won't help me get the tapes and he might just return the favor. I really do hate those negs. Only have one with over 1100 total and it was because I left one for someone else.

Anyway, is there someone to notify at Ebay -- I would really like him to have a mark against him with them rather than through feedback.
Thanks,
Linda

Have you tried to e-mail from a different ISP? Sometimes this will help. Also, do you have any domains blocked? The spam filters may be getting his e-mail before it reaches you. Using the send this auction to a friend feature might help too. Pull the contact info and give a call

If all these things don't work, notify eBay here:

Hope it helps.

Hi Lindajean...
I'm in Houston, and live in an area of town that rarely gets more than mud puddles when it rains but last week I looked out my window and saw my car under 5 feet of water from the flooding and a new "olympic size swimming pool" for a back yard. Suddenly, I was in a crisis mode. Luckily my house was spared, but some of my neighbors weren't as fortunate, as a result of what's been going on here, I didn't tend to my auction business for almost a week. (I have 29 sucessfully closed and several more pending with bids).

Folks say all the time, don't list or bid if your not going to follow through, but the reality is that sometimes Real Life has to take precedence and one has to re-arrange their priorities.

Perhaps the seller your trying to deal with has a real life problem. Sometimes patience is indeed a virtue...then again, they may just be irresponsible.

BTW...I've since e-mailed all my customers and all have been very gracious and understanding of the delays.

Thanks for the help. I use Yahoo mail and don't believe that would be a problem.

As far as an emergency -- the first thing I did was check feedback and other transactions. Seller is still listing daily and has actually mailed one of the items and had it received with the buyer already leaving feedback -- an item which ended the same time as mine ended. For some reason he just doesn't seem to want to respond to this one. Maybe he lost the item or something. He is relatively new with only 30 feedbacks.

Anyway, I just didn't want him to pop up with a negative on me for not paying when I can't seem to reach him or get him to email me.

Thanks again,
Linda

I had this happen on an item I bid on a few months ago. I emailed the seller several times, with no response. Then I emailed him with an alternate email address and he immediately got back to me. Apparently, my email was throwing his his messages out as spam...

Hi lindajean,
Have you tried emailing him through ebay? It might not be YOUR email that has the problem-- it might be his and he might not be aware that there is a problem getting messages. I know that email.com has been horrible lately-- so much so that I stopped using my account for my ebay dealings.

Anyway pull up the ended auction and I think there is an "email the seller" link. try that and hopefully you will hear from him.
Good luck!

Thanks again!

I am hoping the emails just aren't getting through. I just tried emailing him through Ebay and hope that one will get a response.

Thanks everyone, and have a great Father's Day Weekend!

Linda

Hello,
For the past week, I have had trouble with mail reaching yahoo users.

I had one write me a nasty email wanting to know why I didn't reply to her. I have replied to her from 3 differnt email addresses. I finally reached her using the ebay contact email system.

This has happened to me a couple of times when a frustrated buyer sends me several "Why Are You Ignoring My E-mails". I answer everyone, e-mailing with every address I have, til I finally get through. At the time I was using mindspring as my primary. It hasn't happened with my cable access, but I'm sure it will.

The spam filters may be getting his e-mail before it reaches you

Had this happen last week, a buyer kept emailing wanting the eoa info, I keep sending it, and it would bounce. Looked at the bounce notice, and it said "NO Spam", so I thought, what the hey, I'll send it thru ebay's server. Got that one bounced with the same "NO Spam".

Finaly gave up, pulled his info, and called him.

People, if you do business on the net, turn the spam filters OFF. Spam is the cost of doing business. (It shouldn't be, but it IS)
