I sell in the electronics category quite a bit and throw some stuff in Audio:Vintage a lot.
It was a handy category for me but they've changed it--again.
Now you get Audio:Vintage:8-Track tape decks and Audio:Vintage:Reel to Reel and Audio:Vintage:General.
Huh? Crappy old 8-track tape decks warrant their own category? But the stuff I sell has to go in a general category because they can't figure out what's collectible. They're just fiddling for fiddling's sake.

ebay has no idea how to make proper categories. It becomes clear that they hire high school drop outs and tell them to keep busy.
"What shall I do?"
"I dunno, make some new categories."

Yeah. I think I'll get one of those noisy, junky things where you can hear the hiss and mechanicals working along with the music, plus that endearing "ker-plunk" between tracks. Heck, some of those 8-track tapes had the ker-plunk in the middle of the song! You gotta love that engineering.
There's a reason those 8 tracks went out 20 years ago. I do see they bring $5 and up on ebay though.
