If both the buyer and seller agree, is there a way to complete an auction through eBay when the reserve was not met?

The way to do it through ebay is to agree on a price with buyer, list it as Buy It Now at that price, and tell buyer the auction number (you can do this with no chance that the auction will be found by anyone else, since the auction won't be listed for search for some time). Buyer then must buy it right away.

I don't know about you, but some of my buyers have my sellers list book marked. I had a buyer "following" me the other day, and was placing bids within a minute and a half of my doing the listings. But normally this won't happen.
