i need to check this out with you guys b4 i dump my stuff on my seller....
it is 7 days after i paid by paypal, so i email them to find out where it was....there reply (paraphrased):
i have had a hard time with billpoint and paypal therefore i don't ship till it is 'cleared' by them. it cleared YESTERDAY so i will ship it TOMMORROW...
ARRRRRGGGGHHHHH
not only did they not stated them in their terms.....but is waiting to 'clear' a real situation??...i have sold on ebay numerous years and also had paypal & billpoint and there was never any time or delay because of waiting to clear...the freaking item was only 25.00....
this is freaking ridiculous....i think i will start sending my buying terms and that i only pay once a week and only if they hold their mouth just right....

if you paid by e-check, sellers are specifically instructed by billpoint/paypal to wait for a "it's cleared" email before they ship - usually 3-4 business days. If credit card, then I don't know what you're seller's problem is! mary

no, paying with available funds shouldn't take 7 days. My only guess (and I think someone has guessed this already) is that the seller is waiting for the funds to be transferred to his/her account before shipping. That's a little overly cautious IMO. mary

sounds like they're either new or don't quite know what they're doing, and for some reason (who knows why) feel they need to wait until the $ transfers from pp to their checking account. go figure. if they feel this way, shoulda said so in the listing.

When PayPal was fairly new, I used it to pay for a small ticket item. When it didn't arrive in a reasonable time, I emailed the guy to ask what was up. He said to be patient, he was waiting for PayPal to mail him his check, and it usually took quite a while.
