If you have a billpoint account and you go to "sell your item" ebay now Defaults to the billpoint button! That is not right! Correct me if I'm wrong...has anyone else notice this when you relist on ebay manually not through AW. Please advise

my relists were not only defaulted for billpoint, but also to be inserted in the gallery for 25 cents more. I almost didn't catch it.

I am really angry about this as well! Even though I take Billpoint, PayPal, Bidpay, and a few others, I made a conscious decision to REMOVE any ads of theirs from my auction! Until they PAY me to advertise, I don't want to. So, now, Billpoint is a default advertisement! I launched 5 auctions last night and 5 tonight - and out of spite, I went to "revise auction" within ebay and REMOVED the instant purchase option!

I noticed that too last night while posting a few items. I was scratching my head thinking I had set up some default by accident or something. Quickly unchecked all BillPoint related boxes. Dealing with PayPal is bad enough. Who the heck wants to deal with BillPoint which can be even worse???
eBay's trying to take control of ALL aspects of selling!

Apparently between June 12 and June 19, Ebay not only changed the default, they also changed the selling preferences for Billpoint registered sellers to include the logos into listings. Since I am Paypal Preferred, I only list Paypal in my listings, but I have registered with Billpoint and offer it in my EOA notices to buyers. When I relisted via Vrane on the 19th, Billpoint logos were added to 51 auctions... I spent over an hour removing them last night...
You can turn them off without cancelling your Billpoint account by manually listing an item, unclicking the Billpoint items, and making sure the "Remember my selling preferences" is marked before continuing. I did this last night, and when I pulled up the SYI page this morning, the boxes were again NOT marked.
I think this actually makes me MORE mad than when the turned my SPAM thing on - this is auction interference, IMHO.

I think this happened on the 19th. My auctions listed on the 18th thru AMPro, all listed correctly. My auctions listed on the 20th thru AMPro, all had billpoint logos. My AMPro settings were the same for both days.

GREAT! I'm glad you were able to narrow it down like that.. I'll pass that information on to someone I've been discussing the matter with.

OH WOW YOU ARE GOOD, GIRL!
I'm going to copy and paste that over to the person I've been talking too as well.. You mind posting that in the Ebay thread I started earlier - that will REALLY narrow it down for people.. 8)
