I have a buyer that changed their mind about a purchase, AFTER they paid for it via billpoint. Rather than have them do a charge back (where I would end up paying billpoints charge back fee), does anybody know if its possible to just reverse the charge? TIA

I may be wrong, but for some reason I seem to recall hearing that the payer could cancel his/her payment. If they go into their BP account they can click on the transaction and near the top of the screen there is a button that says 'cancel payment' or something very similar......

Good luck with it!

I believe if you log into your Billpoint account and bring up that transaction, you can click on the "refund" button at the top, and enter how much you want to refund back to the customer.

I also think that you will only be charged Billpoint fees on the amount you keep from the customer. If you refund the whole amount, I don't think you'll be billed anything.

I know there are some problems with refunds especialy echecks. If the refund button doesn't work email billpoint. You don't have to let the buyer get away with this, they won the aution and now you're out the listing fee if you don't sell the item to the person. I would defintly file for the final value fee credit.

I just did a refund last night with Billpoint. I went to the invoice that had been paid and clicked on the refund button and followed the instructions. I did not refund the total amount, as I read in the Billpoint FAQ's that the seller is still responsible for the Billpoint fees. My buyer had no problem with that.

First time I tried, it said that I didn't have incoming funds to cover the refund and they would need my permission to withdraw from my checking - I didn't do that. I waited until another person paid (luckily several transactions this week!) and went back in to do the refund soon after I received notice of payment and before they could do the transfer of that money and it worked just fine.

(The buyer realized they had bought a dulpicate, I checked their history and this turned out to be true, so why not refund and go on with life...)
