The truth of the matter is eBay can not get the auction site to function properly.
I guess the latest idea went something like this...
1st eBay grand poobah: "Gee, the web site is having function problems again. The sellers are complaning, they want the buyers to have access to their auctions. Plus some of them are so demanding that they think they should be able to make contact with our buyers without our permission. What we need is a new gimick to take their minds off this."
2nd eBay grand poobah: "Say, here's an idea let's open some stores. We can charge them a fee for each item listed and make even more money"
1st eBay grand poobah: "Yeah! Great idea!"
3rd ebay grand poobah: Wait a minute. We are having problems with the site not being too stable now, what happens when the stores take up even more space and cause even more problems?"
2nd ebay grand poobah: Oh, let's worry about that later. You know how these gimicks work. We can find another gimick to take their minds off this one pretty soon.
The sellers aren't too bright, you know, just keep constantly changing things. They never will figure out that we move fast enough to keep them off balance, so they never get to get too organized over one thing before we hit them with something else."
Now you know why they keep changing things and fixing things that aren't broke.
If they keep some people confused, and some people mad, but since they spread it out over several issues, the sellers never really get it together and move to another site.
We just run around and talk to each other about how bad eBay is; "but that is where the bidders go so we have to list our stuff there".
How many bidders would eBay have if the sellers stopped listing there?
It can't be MY "fault", I've NEVER owned a "fault"!
