Hello!

My wife picked up some Jadite Fire-King 9 inch plates, some smaller salad plates, and a saucer. We don't usually deal in this.

We believe we have identified the patterns. Mostly Jane Ray, but there is an Alice pattern plate and saucer too.

Only one piece out of the entire batch is actually marked Fire-King on the bottom (one of the Jane Ray pieces). The rest are unmarked.

Is there a lot of unmarked Fire-King out there?

Is it worth less to collectors than a marked piece?

Thanks

I have sold lots of Fire King in the past. It's usually pretty easy to tell if it's really Fire King even when it's unmarked. In my experience, I have never noticed that unmarked Fire King sells for less than marked Fire King. As long as you're sure it's Fire King (and the buyer is sure) then it shouldn't really sell for much less.

Not to worry, plenty of it is unmarked, and the unmarked pieces will fetch just as much as the marked. There's usually a ton of Jane Ray on eBay, and only the uncommon pieces do real well. Good luck!
