Has anyone ever recd an email from ebay stating their auction was 'shut down' AFTER it had already ended normally?
I had an auction listed; watched the last minutes of it as it ended; emailed the high bidder with EOA info....that night I got an email from ebay with a time stamp that was hours after auction ended saying they were ending it based on a complaint from a Verified Rights Owner; etc.
The item shows up in my ebay statement with a FVF at the actual time auctin ended; then they do of course refund listing fees, fvf etc.
I really don't understand how you can shut down something that no longer exists! Just curious if it's happened to anyone else.

About 2 years ago we had several auctions going for plastic bubble bags. We got an email from eBay telling us that one of our auctions was cancelled because the term “Bubble Wrap” was trademarked, and we were in violation. Ironically the only auction that was cancelled was the one that had ended 5 days previously and the buyer had already sent payment. We were refunded the listing fee and there was no FVF, even though the buyer paid for the package.
