I've got a lot of vintage handkerchiefs that my mother would like to sell, but some of them were taped closed with scotch tape that left a yellow stain after I removed the scotch tape.
I've tried bleach, goo gone, oops and dishwasher detergent, but the stain is still there. Are these a lost cause? Does anyone have any other ideas for removing this stain?
Also, is it worth trying to sell these if I can't get the stain out? Maybe as cutter hankies or something like that?

I was watching a show about hankerchief collecting and they mentioned that under no circumstances should you wash a vintage hankerchief (if it has previously been unwashed) ---sell them with a discription of the stain and the cause. Next time leave the tape and let the collector decide how to deal with it

Thanks, Zazzie! That's something I didn't know. I'm glad I've only been experimenting on one used hankie that was taped to a piece of cardboard.
I'll leave the rest as is. (At least I don't have to drive myself crazy trying to figure out how to get that stain out anymore!)
