One of the niciest "fringe benefits" of eBay is you DO meet some really nice people! There's a cast iron pot named after me sitting in a garden in Taiwan, a terrific baseball card collector who keeps in touch via e-mail and, just today, I received a nice postcard from Niagra Falls from a customer who bought an Icelandic book. Just thought I'd share these nice experiences. Anyone else have similar experiences?

blueyes29: You must immediately lie down in a dark room with an ice pack on your head. Also, take two aspirin just to be on the safe side. You are not well, dear. Do you realize you just said something nice about eBay. How shocking! Keep us posted on your condition and hope you're feeling better soon
thanks for this. i am getting a bit weary of all the negative threads. i've got my gripes, but there are good things about ebay, or why are we bothering?!
let's see, because of ebay i've had the opportunity to 'meet' many wonderful people. some are interesting as all get-out, some have great wit, some have amazed me with their honesty, others with their understanding. because a number of my buyers and i have a common interest and there's a big event coming up in july, i have plans to meet some of them. that'll be fun!
i've become friends with one dear seller, although we haven't emailed for a while now. (note to self: email her.)
and were it not for ebay, i'd have never found this board. i've learned SO much here! because ebaying can be a solitary sort of job, i really appreciate the sense of community i get here when i need to take a break, or have a question.

If it weren't for eBay, I wouldn't have my nice big screen TV in my living room that I never have time to watch because I am too busy listing on eBay....

LOL...Thanks for the concerns about my "condition", bogalucy. Actually, I AM sipping a frisky Chardonnay right now...I've found that cures a lot of ills (and may be contributing to my "warm fuzzy" feelings?). And rewassago...appreciate your comment too...although I've solved the TV deprevation...I've got a small 5" TV perched on the edge of my desk so I can watch all the telly I want AND do my "eBay thing"...I'm a real pro at multi-tasking!
