Just a heads up, in the wee hours of the morning, I launched an auction at 6:00 AM instead of 6:00 PM, and the listing confirmation email says I still will have to pay the 10 cent 'extra fee' for a 10 day auction.

The time of day you list it does not matter, if it is listed in the 24 hour "free" period. The 10 day auctions still get charged the extra 10 cents.....I checked my account. All my fees have been credited EXCEPT the 10 cents for the 10 days.

You get a credit for the LISTING fee.
Did you read that?: LISTING fee.

The extras, like 10 day auction, or reserve auction fee, you DON'T get credit for.

Only the LISTING fee.

Got it?

edited because although I can read, I can't type.

eBay says:

During Free Listing Day, the insertion fee will be charged and then immediately credited to your eBay account. All other fees (home page featured, featured plus, highlight, bold, gift icon, gallery, gallery featured, etc.) will still be charged.

Seems pretty clear to me...

edited to remove image, which didn't appear to want to display...

Still a Dime very well spent. Would you rather have an auction end the day after the 4th or on Sunday?

We loaded up today - All 10 dayers. Hopefully, Ebay won't blow a gasket!

Gotta List Some More...

10 days for 10 cents sounds good to me.

Yes....I can read. I know the 10 day is different, that is what I was trying to get across to the original poster...that the 10 cents was NOT GOING to be refunded. Why is every one so hasty to be so ignorant?? Geez....

"Why is every one so hasty to be so ignorant?? "

Because if we take our time we might have time to think, and so appear intelligent. Bad form.

If you pick two catagories (they both get refunded) then you pay 20cents for a 10 dayer.

I keep reading that others would rather pay the 10 cents and not have it end on the 4th. I just listed and a 7 dayer ends on the 5th, thursday, not the 4th.

Speaking of fees....has anyone thought of this? 10 cents for 10 days=1 cent per day for an ad that can be pretty huge if you want it to. Cant get those rates anywhere else! And not as large an audience either! I listed all mine for the 10 days. Good luck to every one!
