Our TV news tonight mentioned eBay and an interesting item being sold out of Canada. It is a very strange celebrity item but I can't really "leak" what it is for fear of "pizzing" off the moderators.
Since it was mentioned on the news it has jumped by about $300.

I had a chance to get this Item off this guy.
He wanted me to trade a Computer for it and a whole bunch more celebrity stuff...I should have done it but I passed.
Oh well you win some and you lose some.
I found out about it when he put it in a news group on deja news in Vancouver.
Here is the posting from the news group..
Note this is not the listing from Ebay.
"Mucho memorabilia from Little Mountain Sound Studios (Bob Rock, Bruce
Fairbairn, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Metallica, David Foster,
and many more!) Autographs, records, videos, photos (plus the actual urinal
whizzed in by more rock stars than you can....well....shake a stick at!!
Plus autographs from all the original Rolling Stones (incl. BrianJones)
plus never before seen photos of John Lennon and Yoko Ono as well as a
"Double Fantasy" album by John and Yoko still in the shrink-wrapped plastic!
Plus a never-played 45 record of "Summer In The City" by the Lovin' Spoonful
BEFORE they were called that (and produced by the late Bruce Fairbairn)
plus many more unique items (incl. autographs) too numerous to mention
including many items relating to the history of rock bands in Vancouver
(Loverboy,
Barney Bentall, Paul Janz, Headpins, Doug and the Slugs, Idle Eyes, etc.
etc...)
I am a music industry professional and I have decided to sell my private
collection
as a complete package, so I am not soliciting offers on individual items.
Serious
bidders/buyers may email me for the complete detailed list at the address
below
and bids/offers to purchase should be sent to the same address ASAP. There
is a
reserve bid. All items are currently stored in a secure guarded warehouse.

GIBSONS, B.C., 1:42 p.m. EDT June 29, 2001 -- Antique furniture, precious jewels, a one of a kind painting -- those are the kind of items you expect to see at an auction, but a used urinal is on the block right now and it's actually getting some bids.
The urinal has reportedly been used by some of the world's biggest rock stars and now the owner wants to cash in.
David Robertson is a former manager of Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver. The urinal used to be in the men's room there.
"Rock-and-roll types spent a lot of time in the bathroom because, you know, they’d drink beer during recording sessions...and there was only one [urinal] and this is it," said Robertson.
"I was thinking of preserving a little piece of rock history."
The piece of bathroom hardware was removed in 1991 during a refit of one of the studios. Instead of letting it go the trash heap, Robertson decided to keep it because some pretty famous names in rock have stood before it.
"Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Motley Crue, Jimmy Page, David Foster, David Bowie, The Tragically Hip," lists Robertson.
And the list goes on. After ten years in storage, Robertson has now decided to sell the urinal, hoping the item's association with a number of top rock acts will attract the interest of a music fan who just has to have everything.
Robertson listed the urinal at $195 dollars. Ten bids later, the going price for the so-called “rock star celebrity urinal” was at $500 U.S. and it continues to climb.
The final day for bidding on the urinal is Tuesday, July 3.

That is pretty funny. Although I am a fan of many of the mentioned groups, this is one item I personally will happily live without. To each his own I guess 'eh. :0)
