Here we go again, Paypal just send this to me! Another Rate INCREASE. (Read Below).
How come every time they increase their rate they mention Billpoint charger’s
more and we (Paypal) still have the lower rate! I will now remove Paypal from all my 300 listing. This is the last fee increase I will accept from any Internet company.
It seems the seller’s who list the most will lose the lost!
Dear PayPal Member,
In order to continue providing enhanced services such as chargeback protection and our cashback program, PayPal will introduce two pricing tiers for our Premier and Business accounts effective July 14, 2001. The Standard Rate for receiving payments will be 2.9% + 30˘. Following industry practices, we will offer a Merchant Rate of 2.2% + 30˘ to members who have received an average of over $1,000 per month and who have been with PayPal for at least three months.
PayPal's Standard Rate is lower than those of most other online payment services. For example, a Billpoint ™ Standard Account charges 3.0% + $0.35 for credit card transactions over $15 and has a per transaction limit of $500 (PayPal has no transaction limit).

I stopped using PayPal a year ago and have no regrets. I currently accept payments by Achex.com and c2it.com and have had no complaints. You might want to check them out.

And the funny thing is, Billpoint charges LESS now! I guess PayPal counts on people believing everything they say without checking now. It's a shame. I liked PayPal, but I guarantee that I will not stay after this ridiculous increase.
