Okay, finally! It's 8" tall to the top of the spout, has a couple of chips (one below the spout, another on top edge). Any idea of the age, worth, and what it's officially called? (Looks like a watering can to me.)
A friend just gave it to me today when I was admiring it; I collect old pottery and don't intend to sell this. Just would like to know more about it.

WOW WHEE...You have a great friend and gorgeous circa 1948 Pitcher. My book is older, 1993 (20.00-25.00),pictured in pink. Others can update the value.
