I have recently read post here that sellers are "going to be ready for the next FLD".
I would like to start saving some auctions. Not necessarily for FLD but the Christmas season (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec). I use AW for my auctions. They only keep the pictures 90 days. Do I just do the auctions like normal and let them pile up in my pending auctions? That seems like it would be a mess since unscheduled auctions are at the top of the pending list.
I would like to save them so I have the least amount of work to do when I am ready to launch the auction.

Hi RichieRich,
I have a bunch saved up and they are not in my pending. They show up over in my inventory area. I just watch and if they are about to expire (when it is close to 90 days), I just click on them and that saves them longer.
Hope that helps and good luck to you.
Vanessa

I'm saving auction descriptions and images in files, to schedule and post in the fall. Could you try that? It would be easy to paste in the info when you are ready.

I use AW inventory but not for the purpose of saving auctions. I like that idea.
NOW - my auction that are closed that I would like to save to inventory - what is the easiest way to do this? I wish there was a save to inventory button somewhere!

I'm not sure how to do the closed ones. I would ask over on the Auctionwatch message board. I have asked questions over there a few times and they are quick to answer.

Ok, how about this?
I create batches offline in advance, name them by the date I eventually want to launch, save on my pc. I keep adding to them as I come across something that would go well with that batch.
The same could be done with pictures (edited and sized)in folders with names matching the batches. When it's time to go, you upload the coordinating file, click and drag the pictures onto your batch and upload the batch.
Whenever I have a bunch of about to expire pictures it feels like it takes forever to click on them and back out again to find the next one but that may just be my computer.

There is a save to inventory button option when you create listings. That way if it doesn't sell it automatically shows up in your inventory. I don't think there is a way to do it after it closes but you could act as if it's a relist and edit it and check the save to my inventory box.

I have been using AW for about a year and a half. Never really had time to learn it all. I found the inventory thing one day out of desperation for such a program. I often read here about creating batches offline.
What is that all about and where do I find it? Is it easy to figure out?
Gosh, I wish there was an AuctionWatch 101 at the local college! AW has a lot to offer, if you know it's here and if you have the time to learn it all.

Richie,
Do you have the AMPro downloaded to your PC. If not that's where you need to start. I'm not an expert and am sure I don't know all about the AMpro but if you e-mail me at [email protected] I will be happy to walk you through it (what I know)
