...if ebay took a look at the bottom line, or whatever it is on that graph people are looking at, and decided to make a new policy:

free listing on all items started below $10? with attendant extra fees for high minimums, 10-day auctions, double-categories, etc?

Maybe that would just turn ebay into Yahoo before fees, but it sure would be fun!

Hi keziak,

Yes it would be great. But I do think it would lead to a lot of garbage posts. I used to use the free Yahoo just to list things that wouldn't sell on eBay. I'm sure many did.

But how about something like those coffee shops that give you the 11th pound free? List 100 auctions on eBay, and they give $3 listing credit. That would be ten 30 cent listings. It would benefit everyone and in a way that their biggest customers would benefit most, without totally screwing the little guy.
