I purchased (6) George Barrie b/w prints at an estate sale today, all copyrighted 1880. Ordinarily I would've passed them by, even at a buck apiece, but these were actually signed by the artists whose paintings had been reproduced by Barrie. I thought perhaps the signatures would bump the value up somewhat and make them worth listing? Artists included: G.H. Boughton, Charles Edouard de Beaumont, Benjamin Vautier, Leon y Escosura, and (2) Edouard Detaille. The signatures are clearly authentic (not facsimiles). I've sold a fair number of autographed items but never one of a 19th century painter, so I have no idea if they're collectible. Anyone have any educated thoughts on this?
