Anyone have any experience to share selling and shipping a beer can collection. Should I sell in lots or list them individually? I purchased a collection with well over 1000 cans. Most are over 20 years old. 90% of them are metal (not aluminum).

you could group the brands by sizes and flavors and sell some that way...or if any are a series i would sell those one by one.......i used to collect the cans myself.........

They are valued according to age:
The oldest are called "cone tops"
They have a conical top,and were sealed with a bottlecap. If they are in good shape (and have a convex bottom)they will sell best.
Next are the flat or punch tops. These were opened with a church key (it leaves triangular punch marks in the top)
The pull tabs are most common. In the heyday of collecting, everyone had plennnnty of these.
Some are hard to find, but like baseball cards, many were overproduced and are worth .25 - 1.00.
Too many people with Billy,MASH and JR beer have heard of someone selling a six pack for hundreds, and believe theirs are worth that.
You should have drank the stuff while it was still good and had some value.
Take a shipping or Priority box you have multiples of,and see how many cans fit into it.Then sell them in lots of that number.
Makes it easier...
(If anyone reading this post has old beer cans or stuff...If I don't have it,I'll pay you "too much" for it)
