I was always very satisfied with Photopoint, I even signed up to PAY them for their service a few months back. I always touted them to others.........
Until they BURNED me and a lot of other people.
I am happy to report that within 24 hours I not only found another host that I am VERY happy with, but have already replaced all of my new auction's pics. As for Photopoint? It's like they never even existed.
I hope they are met with many, many chargebacks, since they gladly and sleazily still accepted payments up to a point where they HAD TO KNOW they were going under.
And to those who say that it is Photopoint's own host who went under and took Photopoint's service temporarily with it, I say: ALL Photopoint had to do was include THAT piece of info in their automated responses OR have it as a message on their company phone system. They did neither. WHY? Because they are very likely OUT OF BUSINESS, and as another poster stated in another thread, they sneaked right out the back door with other people's money.
That's real BS, and as much nonsense as the public has put up with regarding these flaky internet companies, this one takes the cake....and should be prosecuted.

I suggest using Readyhosting.com. They give you 500MB for $99 a year. If you don't have a domain already, there is one time registration fee of $50. So, that breaks down to $9 to $12.50 a month for the first year. I have the domain auctionimages.org which I use for all my auctions.
They're best for basic FTP and static HTML hosting. They offer more services, but they don't work too well in my experience.
