I just had my 3rd request today from bidders that cannot see all of my auction descriptions or the jpg scans.

I have no problem seeing them (I have a high speed cable connection).

Anyone else having this problem today?

I had two yesterday that said the pages hung up at the description. I use Roadrunner and have no problems seeing them myself. Maybe it's ebay's problem??

I had a few odd Email from people last weekend saying they could veiw my auctions when they clicked on them .

I had no trouble veiwing most but I notice that on some of AW templates the Image was only partly on the page.

I had the same prob. 2 wks ago with a WebTV user. No matter what I tried they couldn't see the description. I tried a simplified HTML auction, and that didn't work either.

I eventually gave up and sold the items off eBay to the person.

SSSSHHHHH.....Don't tell eBay...

Did you ask if they are using Explorer or Netscape?

Netscape follows "the rules" and if there is no end of table marker, will cause this problem. Explorer is more tolerant of this error and will display the table. I get this a lot, pages display up to the description. I'll bet there is some posting program that generates sloppy code.

Also, if you have bad JavaScript in the HTML, this can cause problems.

Sounds like you are using a table. If you have missing codes, Netscape will not show the page.

This could explain why pages get lots of hits but no bids then, huh? Does this mean that the problem could be in the code of the listing software or the counters a person isusing? And since the page shows up perfectly for the seller if nobody lets you know that your page isn't completely loading, how do you know there's a problem? Something not right here. If I'm understanding this correctly, why doesn't Netscape fix the problem?

Netscape does not have a problem to fix. It is not a Netscape problem, it is an HTML problem.

If you have HTML errors in your auction page, netscape will not show the page.

IE is more forgiving of errors, but it is not Netscape's fault. It is the fault of whoever left off some HTML coding in the auction pages.

It is always a good idea to view your auctions in BOTH Netscape AND IE to make sure all is showing up correctly.

Thanks for the feedback.

I think I may have screwed up the HTML when I relist auctions and delete the Honesty code. Maybe I'm deleting too much or too little. I do not know HTML but delete what I think is the Honesty section. Probably missing a ">" or something.

The problems are with my relisted auctions.

Thanks
