In another thread someone asked about cleaning cloudy or sick glass. This is caused by the mineral deposits in the liquid, usually water, left in the vase, cruet, etc.
CLR, Efferdent, Pollident or anything like them will not harm any glass that I know of.
They also will not work on truly sick glass, in which the standing liquid has caused a chemical reaction with the outer layer of the glass, creating the cloud or iridescence.
There was a person in Indiana, first name of Kim, who could remove the "sickness" on the inside of glass items. He used to advertise in The Daze. I used him several times years ago and was amazed that he could treat sick glass and make it look crystal clear. It took 3 - 9 months for his secret process and he charged at the time $20 to $30 per item. It was worth it for an expensive item. He wouldn't do this on any item with a wide opening at top like a bowl. So the process of cleaning sick glass has already been invented.

You can polish glass out with diamond compound easy. If there is just a little haze a bit of rubbing with number 6 will help but if it is real deep etching you will need a courser and then completely clean that away and go to 6. You can go finer but most people can't see the difference.
I'm not familiar with diamond compound. Is it something you could use inside a vase with a small opening...or do you need to use your hands to polish the surface?
