My brother used to get all sorts of old stuff and he has asked me to sell some of his collectible books. I found listings for two of them, so I have something of an idea of what they might be worth, but the third is a bit harder to peg: It's a three volume set of War and Peace from the thirties published by Crowell if I remember correctly--I haven't actually seen the books yet so I am ballparking values. Any idea of what a set in good shape might be worth?

I asked him to scan/photo the stuff before he ships it. I figure this might help a lot.
The books I normally sell do not need scans.

Go to abe.com and do a search for the book. That will show you what others are asking for it.

A search on boodfinder.com brings up one set for sale, with leather covers detached & sold "as is" for $99.
