I know we all hate deadbeat bidders, but what about Deadbeat sellers?
I was high bidder on an auction that closed one week ago. Since then I have sent a politely worded E-mail to the seller every day, asking for the final $$ amount (shipping cost wasn't detailed in the auction) and where to send payment.
I have heard ONCE form the seller, saying she would go to the Post Office and enquire about the cost, "tomorrow". There was no address to send payment. That was on Sunday (3 days after auction end) and I have heard
nothing since.
Is there anything I can do, other than keep sending mail ? I actually wnat these widgets and its getting very frustrating!

Pull their contact info, that just might rattle their cage? If you still don't hear back from them contact safe harbor & report them. It's possible they've ran into puter problems, but ......
Have they been listing more items for sale, or bidding?

centenary,
If they live in the Cincinnati area, they could be digging out from 5+ inches of rain & power outages. I personally got 9" of rain in less than 12 hours, during which our power was out for 8 of those hours which meant our sump pump wasn't working. Our server WAS in the basement, along with 2-3" of water, and a nice set of baseball cards that I was hoping to ebay....Oh well, at least we're still alive (3 people died).
I also had to notify some buyers. Our post office was closed yesterday due to high water and the ensuing damage.
cindy
although, that happened on Tuesday night, they should have gotten back to you by then!

You can have sellers remorse as well as buyers remorse. A lot of these new sellers come onto eBay thinking they are going to sell all their old junk and make their first million, and especially during the summer doldrums they may get disappointing results.
If this was an item that she put up for $1.00, expecting it to sell for $100, and it only sold for $8.73 then she may be trying to wiggle out of the deal. That has happened to me a few times and there's nothing you can do about it other than neg the seller.

Thanks for responses.
In this case seller and buyer are both in Australia - a few hundrred miles apart. ( Iknow the area she lives in, but no the address.
The item was listed without reserve, and went for around 4 times its starting price - there were 2 other bidders.
I have written twice more since my firsr post - still no response. This time I left my phone number....
