I picked up a few dozen books for 20 cents ea. at a sale today, had no idea what to buy so just grabbed the ones that looked interesting or just had nice looking covers. Many of these are over 100 yrs old.
Came home & started looking them up on ebay with little result - most were not listed at all. So I checked abe.com and found many listed there at pretty high prices, including one listed from $200-$400. (yippee!)
I don't want to pay abe.com $25.00 a month to list there since I have no idea how long the books would sit before they sold, but ebay doesn't really seem to be the place for these either, suggestions?

I sell old rare books on ebay most at least 300 to 500 years old.

I find these sometimes listed on abe as well
what I do is start at a 1/4 of the abe price and aim for half if possible.

The books you have may not be the high priced ones you see on abe. They maybe first editions yours may not etc.

Hope that helped.

Hi Adrian - thanks for the reply. I think I will probably do as you suggest, and just keep my fingers crossed.

Do you use a reserve? I rarely use one but could see doing it on a few of these.
