I have been seeing a rash of feedbacks from sellers that use the eBay feedback system
for business advertising purposes...
Like ... “xxx.com Thanks you for shopping”
or this one... “xxx.com always has the lowest prices on eBay
or this one ... many more buys like this one at xxx.com
and my favorite ... “Another xxx.com satisfied customer
Come on .....I know the eBay clamp down has been hard for some
sellers but this looks very unprofessional to me..
If I were to receive a feedback like this I would feel used..

If the feedback is promotional in nature [towards the seller] I've seen eBay remove it.
I believe it falls under this rule?
The feedback, on its face, has absolutely no connection with eBay, such as personal
comments about users, or feedback related to commercial transactions that were not conducted through eBay. This includes feedback that contains any reference to another auction service,or feedback that advertises the goods or services of someone other than the user for whom the feedback was left.

Holy cow, I totally agree with Jacko on this one. Isn't the feedback a way to praise the buyer for holding up to his/her end of the bargain? Not to promote your business! Tacky Tacky Tacky. But hey there are some pretty tacky people out there!
