Could be your competition with bogus Ids
just removing your auctions.......while their stuff sells through..
why don’t you just start your auctions at the price you want for it..
If it sells for more you had a nice day....

I suppose I should, but I use my Buy It now offers as a free shipping promo. This was just a stupid NIKE outfit for an infant, and it was used. I have been so frustratred this month.

No wonder...tjbrocean

Any thing with a Nike logo on it ..only has
a 50% chance that the winner will pay at all..

Well for me anyway..

What kills me is that use BIN and
Then pay by MO or personal cheque
So then we have to wait 10 days,
I use BIN only if I want the items faster.
I never had a non paying bidder on BIN auctions,
Only my normal ones.
(bad enough )

I wouldn't worry to much about People useing buy it now and then paying with check and money orders to much.

Soon all Buy it now will require Instant purchase Through Billpoint This is the Idea behind the new store fronts The adavantage of buy it now is that buyers dont have to wait days for auctions to end and they dont have to worry about being a out bid.

The other advantage Of buy it now will be to sellers because all there buyers will be perapproved buyers who have opened billpoint accounts to have payments for item billed to there credit cards within mins of there puchase no more waiting or dead beating.

Also the burdon will be on all sellers to offer a money back garentee and shipping within 36 hours.

Been Reading about this in the online trade papers for a few weeks now, The store Fronts is a way to get small seller and B2b seller integrated togeather. the low fees to list and sell, they are hopeing many many of the auction users will adopt store fronts and Help Make them more popular then auctions.

The store fronts are to Incourage B2B sales which they believe is the future of on line selling its away to get auction sellers and big business intergrated and use to working togeather.

The forcast for the next few years is for B2B sale to rise and auction to Fall off and become secondary.

re: the original question, my guess was impulse buyers + buyers' remorse.

i'm not going to be a happy camper if ebay requires billpoint for bins. probably just stop using bin.

Ebay already does Require billpoint for BIN buying in a round about way.

They still allow you to offer bin buyers any method to pay but all new Registered buyer must give there CC # bank checking info because all new buyer and sellers are auto matically must be registered for billpoint payments as well.

it only a matter of time now that store fronts are open that instant payment become the only way to use BIN.

tjbrocean,

I have been having this problem also. I was looking at auctions one day and found my solution. This auction stated that any Buy It Now purchases must be paid via Billpoint or paypal and must be paid within 72 hours. I don't accept Billpoint myself so I listed my terms as Buy It Now must be paid via paypal and paid within 72 hours. This seems to be working a lot better.

I have had complete sell through on BIN items. Yes some do use checks or MO, but that's not a problem.

There are so many things that I would gladly use buy it now for if the price was right.

Buying and bidding folks are fickle.
