I'm trying to CLOSE my andale account. HELP! Can't seem to find where to do this! I've e-mailed customer service, but who knows when they'll answer!

Well based on your appraisal of their customer service, you are quite justified in dumping them. Apparently they make everything difficult.

I had a similar problem when I dumped Andale. I emailed customer service and posted the request to cancel my account right on the Andale board.
One thing you need to do immediately is change your passwords to eBay. Even after I cancelled my Andale account, Andale went in and added a link to "my" Andale gallery which, since I had no pics left on the Andale servers, displayed bits and pieces of the AW templates in the image fields.

YOU have to [email protected] to cancel..it is taking 30 days at the moment..mine took about 3 weeks.

I emailed [email protected] and every other person and address I could find for them and they still refused to cancel my account and are still trying to charge me for services I no longer use. So, I contacted my credit card company (PayPal debit card acutally) and they cancelled my card and are sending me a new one. They're also disputing the last charge that Andale made on my card. It seems this is the only way to make sure you get cancelled. This way, even if Andale goes ahead and puts galleries, etc. in your auctions at least they won't get paid!!

Oh GREAT!! This sounds like it could be a nightmare for me!! I tried to put in a false cc #, but of course that didn't work. I have this on a regular cc of mine, so I really don't want to cancel the cc. I will keep trying I guess. At least I've only got the $5/month plan! But still......I hope it gets cancelled!

I've sent Andale at least 3 emails to cancel the account, to CLOSE the account, to END the account. There has been no response and on July 27th they charged me $28 and I went into the account today (it's still open) and saw that they intend to charge me $43 the next time. I have had all the pictures removed and there is nothing that I am using there. I had to call Visa today to take care of the $28 charge and will have to call them again if they try to charge the $43 to me, too.
They made it even harder to email them than it was before, I couldn't even find the link at all today to the Users Agreement where they had their email address at the bottom before, where they've hidden it now, I have no idea. It is no longer a business providing a service, but a group of people reduced to theft.

I at present hate Andale. Tried to add interesting counters to my auctions and it is a nightmare. Goodbye Andale. Guess your site should be designed so that folks in UK can understand it.

I've been told that you need to send a registered or certified letter to Andale and request that your account be cancelled. The address has been posted on their (so-called) help boards.

Sending a certified or registered letter sounds like a pain in the butt! They have yet to respond to my e-mails. BUT I think I will be ok. I went in & looked into my account & found the cc # I had originally used back when it was honestly has since been changed. My cc expired a few months ago & it doesn't look like I've ever changed it w/ HONESTY. My account also says I was billed $10 & it was paid. However, I've never seen a charge on my credit card!
So maybe I'm ok w/ this whole mess after all!
