I have not had a bank refuse a Canadian money order but 3 of the 4 banks that I do business with in our area has started charging a $10 - $20 service fee. I was pretty upset when I found out I was going to get charged $20 to cash an $8 Canadian money order. I kept the money order and went bank shopping until I found one that didn't charge a fee. That bank tells me it's just a matter of time before they start charging a fee.
I request Canadian buyers pay with international money orders when not using Paypal or Billpoint.

I just started a thread, where my bank refused it, they didn't charge. But I put it thru an ATM deposit along with a bunch of other US checks and money orders... so don't know. My bank changes its policys now about every other week. So when I get it back, I will take it to a teller and see what happens. It was a Canadian Postal Money order. It should go thru, as it is marked US$ on the amount... dunno. They better not charge me!
