I have not used Mr. Lister for a while. I just went to ask questions, but the Ebay system was not listening to my back button, someone had already asked one of my questions and there was no answer, and I do not want to keep going back to see if someone eventualy does. It is easier to come here!
Questions:
If I have not used ML for 3 months, do I need to reinstall a later ed.?
Does it cost more to use ML?
Can I attach pictures off line?
Can I schedule my auctions to go off at a certain time?
I have been using AW but decided, for books, it might be cheaper.

Forgot one thing: there seem to be a lot of messages in the chat board about ML problems. Is it worth the effort to use it?

I use Mister Lister for all of my listing, and I'll try to answer your questions as best I can.

- It would probably be best to DL a new version to make sure you're using the correct category #'s and have the newest features available.
Does it cost more to use ML?
- There are no fees to DL or use ML.
Can I attach pictures off line?
- You can host your pictures offline and add them to your auction either in the one space provided or using img src code in the description.
Can I schedule my auctions to go off at a certain time?
- The way I do it is I upload the file to Ebay and let it sit in the queue there until I'm ready to launch it. I understand Vrane has a robot that will edit ML files but haven't done this myself.

Probably. The new version is compatible with eBay stores, so if you have a store, you'll definitely need to upgrade.
>>Does it cost more to use ML?<<
Nope, Mister Lister is free. You just pay the regular listing fees like you normally would.
>>Can I attach pictures off line?<<
I'm not sure what you mean. I have a website where my photos are stored, and there is a place to add the URL of the photo I want to use. Basically, it's just like filling out the "Sell" form on eBay, only you can save your listings as templates, and use them over and over without having to re-type everything.
>>Can I schedule my auctions to go off at a certain time?<<
Yes and no. You can prepare your auctions in advance, send them to eBay, and review them. When you're ready to actually start the auctions, you do have to log on and approve them, which starts the auctions.
I *think* I saw a feature on Vrane that starts Mister Lister collections at a specified time, but I'm not sure. I haven't tried it.
>>Is it worth the effort to use it?<<
It is, for me. Many of my auctions are repeats, so it helps tremendously as far as the amount of time required to list a group of auctions. I can list 50+ auctions in literally minutes.
If the things you sell are significantly different, you'll still have to describe each item individually.
I am still using an earlier version of MrLister that I downloaded about a year ago. At the time the later version came out, it seemed people were having far more problems with it than I was having, so I just stuck with what I had. I have very few problems with it, but I don't have an eBay store - I believe that would make a difference.
