This is a lamp base (and a really cute one, I might add).

The only clue to maker is this incised number. I think it's 61-180...though I suppose it conceivably could be 081-19. Doubtful to the latter.

It has the gold trim that is typical of 1950s-'60s, so the 61 could be a date, followed by item number.

Any ideas?

I think it's 61-180. I would think the mark would be on the top as you photographed it, not the bottom.

I think it is 081-19... Your picture is upside down.
