First off I'm a #1 trekkie......I collect everything from ORIGINAL STAR TREK......However...I have no room for these BIG things.
I bought this at an auction over a year ago, and I haven't resold it because I can't get it apart to put back into the box. I'm afraid I'll break it.
Anyone......please, is there a trick to getting this thing apart?
Sorry for the poor picture because I just took it in a hurry.
THANKS!

rarriffle,
Its so funny you should say that because I jokenly told my husband we should give it to a kid to take apart.
They do seem to have the knack don't they.
Darn, I feel so inept

May the force be with you.
Ooooops! Wrong movie.
Wait until either CaptainKirk or mrspock show up on the boards. They should be able to figure it out.

I have a couple of these (not this particular one though) but mine didn't come apart. They were complete in the box. The little stand came off - it slides off and then you can replace the belly plate so there's not a hole where the stand was.
I'd like to bid on this - let me know when you put it up for auction.

Thanks.

Activate shields & cloaking device & forget about the box.

LOL...I'm such a dork!
I see the box doesn't even go with that ship.
I grabbed it in such a hurry I quess I wasn't paying much attention.
I have 3 different ships like this one, the other 2 are in the boxes.
Common mrspock I expected more from you
I really do need to disassemble it to get it back into the box.
The cloaking idea was a good one, now if only I can find the "cloaking button".
barbarake your email has been noted. I will let you know when they go on sale.
There must be away to take the dern thing apart without breaking. *sigh*

If you insist.
Some items of this type are not made to come apart, once you snap them together they lock in place and it is not possible to dissasmble without breaking them
I would study the unassembled one's ,see how they snap together and see if they do in fact lock when assembled.
I'm not familural with this particular item.
spock here......

Packer, it just so happens hubby has that very same one. I asked him and he said he'd have to take his apart ti figure it out. Only problem is, his is "in a box somewhere." But I'm thinking barbarake is right, it doesn't come apart except the stand. Good luck and sorry I couldn't help more!
