Saw the auction, talk about someone that rants and raves. Then violates one of the oldest rules on ebay. Selling elctronic transfed goods. You pay your $9.99 and he sends you a password to download this "Book". According to one of the oldest rules on ebay this is a real No! No! You must sell information in a printed form, or on a floppy or CD. Any media that you can ship. Ed

Is that still true about ebay? I question it, because ebay has ruled the URL auctions to be legal, as long as it is clear that the seller is only auctioning the URL, not the actual item, and they all state that the information will be sent via email.

I've made $1000's on electronic transfer of information, and never saw an ebay rule against doing so. Where is it?

Actually I think you are allowed to auction off electronic transfers of information, but you can only do it in a regular auction, not a featured auction.

I wish ebay would make their lists of forbidden items easier to navigate or search. When I signed up with ebay many moons ago there was a specific prohibition in the rules that did not allow for electronic transfer of material sold in auction. Either that rule no longer exists or it's impossible to find.
