If you don't mind listing using Canadian dollars here's the address.

http://pages.ca.ebay.com/promos/freelist.html

Well, I noticed that one of my auctions has been set at Featured Plus so I've been paying $20+ to list a $24 BIN item, I didn't notice it because it kept relisting automatically with my Auctiontrakker... OUCH! I'd lose $10+ evertime I sold one...

Gee, maybe I can be like Amazon and make it up on volume?

So, I decided to list a boat load of items on the free day to help me recoup my losses...

How many free auctions did you list?

If people pay you canadian dollars don't you lose money in the conversion?

Where can the Canadian totals be found?......

medved.com charts look like they follow ebay.com only.

Pick Month then August to see this week mirrors last week.

There's a steady but slow growth since June 28 FLD

Lose on the conversion? No, I calculated my minimums so the Ca$ amount was increased to compensate.

Can I lose out? yes, if the Ca$ crashes in 10 days, I could lose, but then, if the USD crashes, then I would benefit... Well, I suppose I could invest in a CA$ Monetary Hedge fund to hedge my auctions... but then I'd have to factor in my sell thru rate, then... sheesh... I need a beer, I'm done listing for the night!

Oh, ebay zinged me again... I was planning to list until Midnight, but I just listed one for $110, double category and it was only 10pm PST... I got charged the fee, like $6 CAD... Turns out Ebay, made it for Midnight EST... those tricky !@##@$

Oh well, the other 99+ auctions got in free, I double categoried most of them, went 100 instead of 99.99 to get the lower bracket... Gee, it was fun listing auctions again for a change, instead of grumbling resentment about all the recent ebay policy changes...

Of course, my server has just crashed, even my hosting service website has crashed... I presume that blasted code red worm... But I thought UNIX servers were supposed to be immune from it...

Made it to 100 or so, too. All the books that were sitting around, had been listed before and did not get any bids. All the ones that aren't wort paying listing fees for, but are too interesting looking to donate to the goodwill. 2 of them already have bids, hope to get lots more. Last time on FLD in US, I listed 180 and sold about 1/3 of them. If I do just as well this time......... would be nice.
I hope that my description is clear enough in explaining, that I want to get payed in US$. Would somebody give me feedback on that? My ebay name is heikejohn.
Thanks in advance.

I only did 40, but it was a really laid back day for me. Put together a file of dogs... er... things that needed to be relisted. Then found the multiplier I needed for the conversion. Then just cut and pasted descriptions, etc. Took a four hour break, then did some more. It was very hot here, so I was glad I didn't feel presssured like when the US fld happened.

The only thing that really took a little longer was that for fld I used double categories for 38 out of 40 listings, and since I used eBay's listing page, that's an extra page to go through on each listing.

Thank you to whoever it was that posted about the FLD!
