Hi! I have a buyer who ordered three books from me 1 week ago. It clearly states in my auction that I ship via media mail unless otherwise requested. I also state that media mail can take up to 2 weeks for
delivery. I promptly mailed out his three books the next morning. Now, one week later, the buyer is threatening me with negative feedback because the books haven't arrived. I tried to explain media mail to him and he is still not appeased. My question is as follows. Can he leave three separate negative feedbacks(one for each item) and have them all count against me? This will be my first negative out of 890 positives. Also, any input on how to handle this volatile buyer would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!!

Hi Kristie ~
First, let me say I'm sorry you have one of those customers. I'm beginning to believe Ebay is NOT the place for IMPATIENT people!
Second, to answer your question, unfortunately, yes he can leave 3 separate NEGS on you. They will all count against you, but whether he leaves you 1 neg or 3 negs, it will only lower your feedback numbers by 1, because the other 2 negs would not be from a "unique" user. But at the chart on the left of your feedback profile, it will say 3 negs (if these are the only negs you get).
I would direct him to your auction and copy where it said in your description that media mail can take up to 2 weeks. Tell him you cannot control how fast/slow the post office moves!
Also, in the future you may want to consider getting Delivery Confirmation on your packages. Media mail would be 50¢ for DC, Priority Mail is 40¢.
Good luck with this one!
PS - Have you left him feedback yet? If not, remind him that feedback hasn't been left from you either.... so if he negs you unfairly, he will get the same in return!
