eBay does not tolerate spam (i.e., unsolicited commercial email) and is
taking steps to protect members from this abuse. In addition, solicitations
to buy or sell items outside of eBay violate eBay rules and are not covered
by services that protect members such as feedback, insurance, escrow, and
dispute resolution. If this is an offer to buy/sell items outside of eBay,
please do not participate. Enter the following link into your browser to learn
more.

If ebay does not tolerate spam why do I get so much spam that they have sponsored in on form or another???

"If you buy anything out side of ebay you are not covered by services that protect members such as feedback, insurance, escrow, and dispute resolution"

Feedback WHO CARES!!! feedback doesn't mean beans, if it was so important even ebay owned companies like returnbuy would do more to protect their feedback, if you read through their feedback I seems that they could reduce them by half if they would just respond to emails.

insurance if they are talking about the their insurance the link on ebays site map isn't even working tonight. I believe it only covers you from 25.00 to 200.00 of your bid amount, so what good is their insurance if you buy under 25.00 or over 200.00? I'll take the old U-pic, USPS, or UPS insurance over ebay any day!

escrow one request for escrow in over 19,000 transactions and it was a new person on an item that sold for under 10.00, I told her is she wanted to pay for it that was fine with me.........

dispute resolution I guess ebay thinks carries more weight than postal fraud investigators, police, and if you shipped across state lines the FBI can even get involved.

give me a break ebay, the way they make is sound you should ask every person that has a web site that you want to buy something from to list it on ebay so you can buy it there and get all their protection.

IMHO, folks will get a lot less aggravated about eBay if they just accept it for what it is: Cheap classified ads with some arbitrary rules thought up by squish heads.

something else "escrow & dispute resolution" neither have anything to do with ebay, they are both farmed out to different companies that you will have to pay extra for. In fact both services will be happy to take your money if your problems are from dealing on ebay, yahoo, amazon, etc..

The best escrow on the face of the planet is to use a credit card. If something goes wrong, do a charge back within 180 days your golden. Dispute resolution works the same way, if you get your money back what's left to dispute?

If ebay doesn't actually provide the services, they shouldn't lie and mislead anyone into believing that they do.
